Business Games Nominated Charity
WESC Foundation supports children and young adults who are visually impaired (blind or partially sighted). The young people also contend with other disabilities and complex needs including cerebral palsy, autism and, sadly, life-limiting illnesses.
The charity was founded in Exeter in 1838 as The Blind Institute and was known for many years at the West of England School and College.
WESC Foundation now offers a range of specialist educational, care and support services to young people with visual impairments and complex needs who come from across the UK.
Education, residential care, mobility and orientation training, and a comprehensive therapy programme are all delivered onsite as part of a package to empower the young people to live fulfilling lives in the community.
