Exeter Mini Olympics

A series of fun events to test all components of sporting talent through multi-discipline activities.
• Teams will consist of between 5 – 7 members.
• Each game will have different numbers of participants.
• Each game will be umpired by member of another team.
• There will be a total of 12 games.
• Each team will play all games

Registration

Please ensure that all participating team members arrive at the venue by 5.00pm at the latest for pre-event registration, briefing and handing out equipment this will enable a prompt 5.30pm start.

Playing by the rules

Individual time trail: 2 x competitors must be different sexes.

Male and female time challenge to complete a 1,000m as quick as you can.

Your scores will be averaged to give your final time.

Quickest time on average will take top points.

Individual time trail: 2 x competitors must be different sexes.

100m as quick as possible.

Face the ski Erg grasping both handles and pull down towards your knees, before returning to the start position.

Average will be made of the two times.

Fastest average time will take maximum points.

Individual time trail: 2 x competitors.

Two rowers must try and get a maximum distance in 4 minutes each.

Highest total metres covered between the two rowers will equal your teams final score.

Highest distance covered will get you the maximum points.

Team challenge: 2 x minimum competitors.

Using the one netball and hoop, your team must score as many goals in 2 minutes as possible.

You must shoot from behind the cone.

You can only take one shot in a row, you must pass the ball and let another team member shoot before shooting for the goal again.

Most amount of goals will equal the highest points.

Team challenge: 4 x competitors.

You will perform a squat and hold for as long as possible in the allotted 5 minutes.

Hips must be in line with your knees creating a 45 degree angle. Arms can be out in front of you or above you, but must not be resting on your legs.

As soon as a team member comes out of the air chair that will be their final time.

Average time between all 4 competitors will give your team its final time (score).

Highest time will gain the most points.

Team challenge: 4 x competitors.

You will perform a high plank and hold for as long as possible in the allotted 5 minutes.

Hips must fall between your shoulders and elbows.

As soon as a team member comes out of the high lank position that will be their final time.

Average time between all 4 competitors will give your team its final time (score).

Highest average time will gain the most points.

Team challenge: 5 x competitors.

Placing the balloon between your legs you must navigate the cone course and return as quickly as possible.

You may only use your hands if the balloon falls from your knees and when passing the balloon to your team mate in the cone box.

Quickest team time across the line takes the highest points.

Individual time trail: 2 x competitors must be different sexes

In 1 minute complete as many box jumps as possible.

Total box jumps between the two competitors will be your teams final score.

Highest score takes maximum points

Team challenge: 5 x competitors.

Best of 3 rounds.

Get the centre of the rope across your line to gain 3 points.

Stale mate (draw) will get you 1 point (if no winner after 30s).

0 for a loss.

Max points earned here could be 9!

Individual distance challenge: 2 x competitors must be different sexes

10kg medicine ball for male competitors.

8kg medicine ball for female competitors.

Starting with your back to arena you will throw your medicine ball over your head for a max distance. Keeping arms extended at all times.

Your teams total distance will be added together to give your total score.

Individual competition: 2 x competitors must be different sexes.

How many balls can you return in 1 minute?

The ball must bounce on the other side of the table when returning.

Both scores added together will be your teams total.

Highest score gets the most points.

Team challenge: 5 x competitors.

How quickly can you complete 50 single skips and the pass to your team mate to complete 50?

Each competitor must complete 50 single skips before passing the skipping rope over.

All 5 competitors must complete 50 each.

Quickest time to complete 250 will be the highest point score for the day.
