Our nominated charity – Rowcroft Hospice

Rowcroft is the only adult hospice service in South Devon. Irrespective of diagnosis or circumstance we want to be there for people – our services are available to all those living with a life-limiting illness over 18-years-old, and their families, completely free of charge. Most of our work is delivered out in the community: in people’s homes, residential homes and hospitals.

But for patients with more complex needs, or those visiting for outpatient appointments, our specialist Inpatient Unit and Outpatient Centre are set in a tranquil, peaceful setting atop the beautiful Torbay, nestled among 22 acres of gardens and woodland.

Almost 2,500 people were cared for by Rowcroft Hospice last year. But, for each person we support, there are another 2 that we cannot. Our 5-year strategy aims to change that and this is where we need the support of our local community, to help patients and their families make lasting memories and to make the most of the time they spend together.

Last year, it cost around £9 MILLION to provide our services, with more than 70% of the required funding coming from the generosity of the local community, including individuals, groups, schools, colleges and local businesses.
