Golf Challenges
Teams will compete in a number of golf-based challenges to chip, putt, hit the golf balls and score a number of points for each challenge. Run by the professional and experienced staff at The Exeter Golf and Country Club its sure to be an evening of fun AND YOU DONβT NEED TO BE A GOLF PRO TO COMPETE!
Registration
Please ensure that your 2 players arrive at the Wear Park Restaurant, Exeter Golf and Country Club for 5.00pm pre-event registration where the bar will be open to purchase a drink, meet the opposition, and find out more about the challenges. We will then move onto the start of the event that will take place at The Golf Academy Topsham Golf Academy | Exeter Golf and Country Club where the briefing and handing out of equipment will enable a 6pm start. The final challenge will take place back at the Putting Green outside the Wear Park Restaurant.
Playing by the Rules
Teams will compete as a pair and will rotate around the challenges. No practicing will be allowed on the evening of the event as time will not allow this so please come ‘Match Ready’ π
Nearest the Pin β Each player has 10 shots to try and hit as close to the pin as possible. Points awarded for each team depending on where they finish on the leader board.
Long Putt β Each player has 10 putts and will try to hit their putts to stop within the marked scoring zone. For every ball that stops in the scoring zone they will receive 1 point.
Short Putt β Each player has 10 putts and will score a point for every putt holed in 1!
Chipping – Each player has 10 shots to try and chip the ball in the basket. Players receive 1 point for every ball they chip in!
Pitching β Each player has 10 shots to try and pitch in the basket. Players receive 1 point for every ball they pitch in!
Go Fish β Each player takes it turn to hit shots and fill their aquarium with fish!! The team with the most points wins!

Β A team made up of 2 people.
- Each team will be issued with a scorecard and also scored by the computer.
- Each challenge will have a clear scoring system explained in the pre-match briefing.
- Competitors will record their points on the scorecard provided.
- The organisers will collate the final scores.
Please wear suitable sports clothing i.e. T-shirts, shorts, tracksuits etc. Trainers will be fine. Please after your own belongings – there will be an area to keep bags etc but this is NOT monitored by staff.
The bar will be open at the Wear Park Restaurant but we are moving to the Golf Academy so please bring plenty of water and energy snacks if required. There is a vending machine available at the Academy. No glass receptacles please. We will be returning to the Wear Park restaurant for the final challenge where the bar will be open to purchase drinks.
